The short version

This site sets no cookies. Not one, not even a necessary one. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, no session tracking and no third-party embed watching you read this. That is why you have not been shown a cookie banner — there is nothing to ask your permission for.

Nothing is stored on your device

No cookies, no local storage, no session storage, no fingerprinting. Close the tab and this site has left nothing behind on your machine.

Nothing is requested from anywhere else

Every file a page here loads — the markup, the styles, the script, the typefaces and the images — comes from this domain. There is no font service, no content delivery network for libraries, no embedded map or video, and no social button. The build refuses to publish if a page makes a single request to another host, so this is checked mechanically rather than asserted.

Why there is no banner

UK law requires consent before storing anything on your device that is not strictly necessary for the service you asked for. Since nothing is stored at all, there is nothing to consent to. Sites that show you a banner do so because they are doing something that needs permission.

What does happen when you visit

The pages are served from Cloudflare, which hosts this site. Like any web server, Cloudflare sees the technical details of the request — your IP address, your browser type, which page you asked for — and uses them to deliver the page and to block attacks. That is server-side logging, not a cookie, and it happens on every website you visit whether or not it has a banner.

If that changes

If I ever add analytics, I will add a proper consent banner at the same time, update this page and change the claim in the footer. I am not going to add tracking quietly and leave this page saying otherwise.
